Individual Therapy:
Session Types
-
Standard therapy sessions are 53 minutes and are customized to your needs—whether you’re new to treatment or building on past work. Session frequency isn’t one-size-fits-all—we’ll figure out what works best for you based on where you are.
-
Extended sessions (90 minutes to 3 hours) allow us to go deeper, especially if you're navigating more severe OCD or anxiety, doing exposure work that takes us beyond the therapy office. Extended sessions are also ideal for focused I-CBT work that requires extra time to learn and apply key concepts.
-
Intensive treatment is designed to give therapy a strong kick start—providing longer sessions and higher-frequency support when it’s needed most. Intensives typically involve 2 to 3 hours of therapy per day, as often as 5 days a week, and are ideal if you’re experiencing severe or extreme OCD and anxiety symptoms that require more immediate momentum and structure than standard weekly sessions can provide. Sessions may also include opportunities to practice skills in real-life settings, both inside and outside of the therapy office.
It’s important to know that intensives aren’t meant to be a stand-alone treatment. As progress is made, we’ll gradually reduce the level of support at a pace that’s clinically appropriate—transitioning to standard sessions to help you maintain gains and continue building skills over time. Working Together: What itlooks like
-
Schedule Free Consultation
The first step is to contact me by submitting an online inquiry. I will reach out to you and schedule a free 30-minute consultation phone call, where we can connect and explore whether working together is the right fit. During this call, I’ll tell you a bit about my approach and what I can offer, and I’ll answer any questions you may have. If it turns out BreakingOCD isn’t the best match for your needs, I’ll gladly offer my recommendation on which specialty, provider, or specific therapy approach may be a better fit for what you’re looking for, along with resources to help you find it.

-
Complete Intake Assessment
If we choose to move forward, we’ll schedule your intake session— a comprehensive and thorough assessment, designed to help me fully understand what’s going on and map out what you need. We’ll take time to explore your symptoms in depth, clarify diagnostic considerations, and look at how your experiences are showing up in your daily life. This assessment allows me to thoughtfully determine what treatment approach will be the best fit for you.

-
Begin Treatment
Once we’ve established a plan, we’ll begin therapy using the format and frequency that best supports your progress whether it’s a standard session, extended session or an intensive.

-
Adjust & Evolve
As we move forward, we’ll regularly check in on your progress and adjust the structure of treatment as needed. This may include shifting the type or frequency of sessions, updating your treatment goals as your needs change, or preparing to wind down therapy when the time is right. We’ll continue to tailor your plan to match where you are in your growth and recovery.

FAQ:

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT). For anxiety, I frequently use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Metacognitive Therapy. For any co-occurring trauma, I utilize EMDR. I’ll explain the therapy options relevant to your needs, and then help YOU decide which approach fits best with how you learn and grow.

Many of my clients come to me after therapy that didn’t move the needle or didn’t fully address their symptoms. Specialized, structured treatment makes a difference. My approach goes beyond surface-level coping and helps you build tools that truly shift how you respond to fear, doubt, and uncertainty.
-
Yes! I work with children, teens, and adults. The youngest clients I see are usually around 9 years old. I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of younger clients, helping them build skills in a way that feels accessible and supportive for their age and developmental stage. If you’re wondering whether therapy would be a good fit for your child, we can discuss what to expect and how I can best support them.
-
That’s common—and you can still help. I’m trained in SPACE, a caregiver-focused approach that teaches you how to support your loved one’s anxiety or OCD by changing how you respond. You’ll learn to reduce “family accommodations” that unintentionally keep symptoms going and respond more supportively to their anxiety. These changes can make your loved one feel less anxious and more capable—even if they’re not ready for therapy themselves. SPACE works not just for parents but also for partners, spouses, and other close loved ones.

I am considered an out-of-network provider for all insurance plans and do not submit claims directly to insurance companies. However, I will provide you with a detailed Superbill that you can submit to your insurance company to see if you’re eligible for reimbursement. I encourage you to contact your insurance provider and ask about your out-of-network benefits before starting treatment so you’ll know what to expect.

My hourly rate is $250, and this rate remains the same across all session types—whether you’re doing standard, extended, or intensive sessions. You’ll find a full breakdown of pricing and session options here.
