Intensive Treatment Program for OCD or Anxiety
In-Person & Virtual
A Specialized Intensive Track designed around you
When OCD symptoms feel overwhelming and traditional weekly sessions aren’t enough, an Intensive Treatment Program can provide the focused, specialized care you need to make meaningful progress. I offer Personalized Individual Intensives using either Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) or Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT)—two evidence-based approaches tailored to your unique needs.
Intensives are designed for those whose symptoms are severe or extreme, and are significantly interfering with your daily functioning, your ability to go to school or work, and negatively impacting your relationships—and they can be accessed in person or virtually, depending on what state you live in
Personalized Intensive Program:
If you’re feeling stuck, unsure what level of care you need, or overwhelmed by options, you’re not alone.
Whether you’re stepping down from residential treatment or looking for a higher level of care from weekly therapy, Intensives can offer the focused, personalized support you’ve been searching for.
Consider an Intensive Track if:
You’re discharging from a Residential Treatment Center and need a step-down level of care that still offers significant support to maintain and build on your progress while returning to your regular life.
You know you need a higher level of care but are deciding between an Intensive Outpatient Program or a Residential Treatment Program. This Intensive Treatment program provides comprehensive, one on one support—not group focused like many residential programs.
You’re seeking an Intensive that uses I-CBT, which is currently not available in residential treatment centers, making this a rare alternative for comprehensive, individualized care.
A clear, compassionate path toward recovery
Intensives combine deep expertise with individualized care, offering you the support and structure needed to break free from OCD. With ERP or I-CBT—offered in person or virtually— I meet you where you are—and walk with you toward lasting change. Intensive treatment means meeting with me up to five days a week, with sessions ranging anywhere from 90 minutes to 3 hours each day. The duration of the treatment is tailored to your specific needs and level of severity.
It’s important to understand that Intensives are a powerful jumpstart, but not a complete cure. Recovery is a process that unfolds over time, with ongoing practice and support. While Intensives often lead to quicker symptom relief and greater momentum, sustainable change comes through steady commitment to treatment beyond these sessions.

Key Components of Intensives
Intensives are about more than just extra hours in therapy. They’re designed to provide comprehensive support across every layer of treatment. Every step is tailored, one-on-one, and grounded in evidence-based practice.
-
Collaboration with Other Providers
I’ll connect with your current providers early on—therapists, psychiatrists, or medical professionals—to understand your needs and ensure this Intensive is the right fit. I’ll also keep your team updated throughout treatment for seamless care.

-
Psychoeducation and Treatment Planning
I’ll start by explaining the OCD cycle and the different themes or types of OCD, so we can identify what fits your experience. Then, together, we’ll create a clear plan based on your goals and any other challenges you might be facing—so you know exactly what to expect and how we’ll work toward your progress.

-
Choice of Therapy Model: ERP or I-CBT
You’ll learn about both ERP and I-CBT at the start of your intensive, so you can choose the approach that feels right for you. I believe offering options empowers you to take an active role in your treatment, increasing the chance of achieving the best possible outcome.

-
Flexible Program and Session Length
Your intensive is designed for you—not the other way around. Frequency and length of sessions will be customized and adjusted as you progress. In contrast to standard Intensive Outpatient Programs, which require a fixed 45 hours (5 days a week for 3 weeks), this flexibility allows us to tailor treatment to what will be most effective for you.

-
One on One Treatment Sessions
I’ll provide fully one-on-one treatment—personalized to your goals, pace, and needs. Sessions can take place in the office, at home, or in community settings, depending on what will support your progress. We’ll adapt in real time to what’s working best for you.

-
Family Involvement
Family support plays a key role in your progress. Loved ones may join sessions to learn how to best support you and help reinforce new skills. When the intensive is for a teen or child, parent participation is essential to promote the best possible outcomes.

-
After Care
I’ll help you plan for what comes next at the end of the intensive. You can continue working with me or receive referrals to local providers if you are from out of state. Parents will receive a summary of treatment and recommendations. Joining or continuing group programming is encouraged to support your recovery.

The answer to this questions is dependent on many factors, all of which are unique to each individual.
Some of these factors include; The treatment modality being used, the severity and complexity of symptoms, whether there are co-occurring conditions along side the OCD, willingness to let of compulsive behaviors, consistency between sessions, and when applicable — the family’s ability to stop accommodations. With all that said, many clients complete an Intensive in roughly 4 to 8 weeks. Yes. An intensive provides the momentum to help you make meaningful progress when OCD symptoms feel overwhelming. But lasting recovery takes time and ongoing effort. After the intensive, we’ll gradually reduce the level of support and transition into regular therapy sessions tailored to you— so you can maintain your progress and keep building the skills that help you live the life you want.

Yes! It’s very common for people to come from out of state. I’m able to offer Intensives virtually, but only to residents of Arizona, New Mexico, Minnesota, and Florida. If you’re outside those states, we can discuss how to best coordinate your start date and travel arrangements to fit your schedule.

I am considered an Out-Of-Network provider for all insurance plans and do not submit claims directly to insurance companies. However, I will provide you with a detailed Superbill that you can submit to your insurance company to see if you’re eligible for reimbursement. I encourage you to contact your insurance provider and ask about your out-of-network benefits before starting treatment so you’ll know what to expect.
